Paraburdoo has been close to Aileen’s heart since 2013, when she arrived on a four month
detour with WA Country Health. What was meant to be a short-term rural contract quickly
turned into something more. She fell in love — with the town, the red dirt, the strong sense
of community, and a Tassie boy who would eventually become her husband.
After nearly a decade, two boys, and a change of surname later, Aileen and her family gave up FIFO life and returned to Paraburdoo in 2022 for good. It felt like coming home.
In 2024, Thrive Together Therapy was born in response to a growing need for local
occupational therapy services. What started with one OT quickly grew: a Therapy Assistant
came on board shortly after, and by the end of 2024, a Speech Pathologist had joined the
team — creating a true rural and remote therapy service.
At Thrive Together Therapy, our goal is simple but powerful: to deliver high-quality, family-
centred therapy for children and young people, no matter how remote their postcode. We
take a neuroaffirming, strengths-based approach, recognising and celebrating each child’s unique differences.
We believe that when families feel supported and children feel
understood, they thrive — and that’s exactly why we’re here.
